How to cancel a U-Haul truck and trailer Reservation

So, you have your moving truck reserved and have mapped out your travel route. You’ve even begun packing up your belongings in preparation for your big move. But then…something happens; life changes course. There are numerous reasons as to why you may need to cancel a U-Haul reservation; from a simple change of heart to financial strains. Luckily, like many things in life, nothing is ever really set in stone.

We’ll tell you how to cancel a U-Haul reservation.

Trucks & Trailers

There are several simple ways in which you can cancel a truck and/or trailer rental reservation. The first way is by logging into your U-Haul account.

  • Log into your U-Haul account
  • In the “My Orders” box on your dashboard, you will see all of your pending reservations
  • Click on the appropriate rental
  • Click “Cancel Reservation”

If you experience any difficulties canceling using this method, you can call the Sales and Reservations Department at 1- 800-468-4285 and they will cancel it on your behalf.

U-Box®

If you’ve reserved a U-Box® (a portable storage container) to ship all of your belongings, the process is a tad different. You can choose to cancel the order entirely or the delivery and/or storage of the U-Box®.

If, for instance, your move is pending and you’re not really sure which way it’s going to go, you can choose to keep the U-Box® at your home, with your belongings stored, until you know whether or not they will need to be shipped or not.

In any instance, we suggest calling the Sales and Reservations Department to discuss all of your options.

    Tried calling 100 times to movershelp and no one is there to pickup the call . How to setup the time from service since the payment has been done.
