We all know, life happens. Sometimes events or scheduled plans have to be canceled or rescheduled. Moving is a big life event and even still, sometimes rearrangements have to be made and may cause a scheduled move to be canceled. Make sure you have your moving truck, trailer or portable storage container reservation handy. Be sure to have stored in a place you can easily remember much like a note on your smart phone, a starred reservation confirmation email or even written on your calendar.
As soon as you know your move cannot take place at the original date/time, you’ll want to act.
Contact the moving company to let them know of the changes. With a U-Haul move, you can modify/cancel your reservation online by logging into your U-Haul account, contacting your local U-Haul representative via phone or at your pick up location. Contacting a representative at least 24 hours prior will help avoid any penalties.
