Located in the heart to Silicon Valley, San Jose is the third largest city in California population wise. When you’re planning your move to “The Capital Of Silicon Valley”, here are a few things to help make your move easier.

Choosing where to live is an important step in the moving process. San Jose has a neighborhood to fit everyone’s needs.

  • Downtown San Jose – One of the safest cities, San Jose’s downtown is an inviting place for all ages. Families can enjoy the Children’s Discovery Museum and the Tech Museum of Innovation. Are you into an active lifestyle? Downtown San Jose has great wildlife trails along the Guadalupe River.
  • Japantown – If you are looking for an authentic and historic neighborhood, you’ll find it in San Jose’s Japantown. The neighborhood has wonderful restaurants, Asian performing arts, and martial arts schools. Stroll through the farmers market on Sunday mornings or visit the Obon Festival in July.
  • West San Jose – In this upscale retail and entertainment neighborhood, you’ll find fine dining, high fashion, and live music. Among the interesting sights, there is the Winchester Mystery House, one of the strangest mansions in existence.
  • Campbell – This charming neighborhood is the original home of eBay and it’s creator, Pierre Omidyar. Each May get ready for Campbell’s civic festival which celebrates two fruits, apricots, and prunes because they played an important role in making the town what it is today. The two-day festival also includes rides, food, and craft booths.

Choose the Right Time to Move in San Jose

San Jose has a beautiful subtropical Mediterranean climate making everyday the perfect day to move. Temperatures range from the low 40’s in the winter months and the high 80’s in the summertime. Check out the weather report on moving day in order to dress accordingly and be prepared.
